It seems that after teasing us for several weeks, Summer has finally arrived! Despite being busy with organising paperwork and builders for our new place and starting to pack up ( and throw out!) some of our belongings, I have managed to fit in 2 lunches in Place Carnot in Carcassonne. I have my priorities! It was such a lovely atmosphere yesterday, sitting amongst the locals ( not too many Brits about at the moment, probably due to all the flight issues recently!), enjoying a 3 course meal in the sunshine. Perfection!

We are heading off to walk 2 of the dogs in St.Denis this morning. Tim is still resting, of course. He is basking in all this extra attention! There is a gorgeous bassin there which I try and go to whenever there is a sunny Sunday morning. As we haven't had many of those recently, I had to take advantage today and head over there. It's only 15 minutes from our house and not many people know about it so it's usually very peaceful. Here is a picture I took of the bassin on a recent walk, it's definitely worth a visit!
I enjoyed a fresh pain au chocolat on the terrace early this morning. I will definitely miss having a Boulangerie right across the street when we move! I think that I will be spending this afternoon sitting on a sun lounger with a glass of wine and the latest book I'm reading. With the unpredictable weather these days, who knows how long this lovely sunshine will last so I need to make the most of it whilst it's here! Plus, I need at least the beginnings of a tan to make my friends back in the UK jealous :)

I hope you are all enjoying a leisurely weekend in the sunshine xxx
